Sunday Funday

Those who know me know that I’m a big fan of Robert G. Ingersoll, a 19th century orator. I won’t go into a biographical sketch, but suffice it to say that Ingersoll proposed that Sunday should be a day for intellectual growth, scientific inquiry, art, and family. I think we checked all of Ingersoll’s boxes this past Sunday at the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation in Tupelo. I got the chance to present my guided discussion, “The Optics of It All,” while sneaking in a couple of tunes with the help of Nate and Henry.

Want to have a fun science-y Saturday? Make sure to drop by Hilbun Hall on the Mississippi State Campus on Saturday from 4 pm to 7 pm for “Science Night at The Museums.”

It’s a free, fun, family-friendly event. I’ll be playing quick 20-minute sets at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30. If skies are clear, I’ll bring a telescope and host a quick star after-party.
