While my official summer tour (“Stormin’ Bob’s Rockin’ Roadshow“) won’t launch for a couple of more weeks, I will be educating and entertaining in Columbus, MS this week.
Thanks to a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission and coordination with Columbus Parks & Rec (Greg Lewis) as well as the Columbus Arts Council (Quan Walker), I’ll be teaching about space science at Hunt Intermediate School on Thursday, May 21. Grant money was used to purchase model rockets. My son, Nate, helped me assemble the rockets. Students are busy decorating them, and we (my fellow Solar System Ambassador and astronomy buddy, Louis Wasson) will launch the rockets for the students on Thursday afternoon.
On Friday, May 22 the Columbus Arts Council will host a free family concert (featuring my family band, “Henry & The Dynamite”) at their theater (501 Main Street Columbus, MS 39701).
