When I was working as a weatherman (TV and print/online), it was not unusual for me to forecast (and explain the atmospheric setup for) a “wintry mix” of snow, sleet and freezing rain.
Whether as a full-time meteorologist or as a physics/astronomy instructor, I make a sincere effort to explain scientific processes in an understandable and interesting way. And when I get to add music to the mix, it is a “perfect storm” of edu-tainment.
Next weekend I’ll be storming into Tupelo to be part of the “Monthly Music Mix” series at the Link Centre. Tickets are available here. Hope to see you there!

I wish I lived closer so I could take some of my students to see Bob perform. Bob is entertaining, witty, personable, and just also happens to be one smart guy who knows everything meteorological. I highly recommend getting out to see him. Your kids will thank you!
